Feel Good – Bread Pudding


This recipe is very helpful when you’re in a roll over, play dead mood. Been craving soft, warm food all day long. I just want to wrap myself with my favorite blanky and watch grey’s anatomy’s last episode while enjoying the warmth of this pudding :).. but! since I already ate my snack of the day, I just cooked, tasted my creations, and ate a tuna salad afterwards ;)



There is no specific recipe for today’s dish. I just looked at what I had in my fridge and came up with a recipe.





Here’s what I did:


  1. brown sugar – about a cup if you want it too sweet or half a cup
  2. butter, about 3 TBS
  3. milk and cream, mixed together.. about 2 and a half cups. 2 cups milk, half a cup of cream.
  4. honey, 2 TBS
  5. left over bread and toast. (I used both) – it has to be at least 2 days old so I absorbs the liquids.
  6. cinnamon



  1. in a pot, pile up the sugar, honey and butter. let it melt together but don’t mix it.. tilt the pot all sides to mix all ingredients together and add cinnamon.
  2. as soon as it starts to bubble up and boil, pour the milk and cream and mix it well.
  3. cut the bread in bite size squares and place them in a deep dish, pour the mixture on the bread and let it soak a bit.
  4. Optional: grate chocolates on top. I wanted almond chips and raisins but I was too lazy to look for them, so I added chocolates instead :) (got a flu, I’m allowed to be lazy right?)
  5. put them in the oven for about 16-18 minutes or until the bread absorbs the some of the mixture and it starts to bubble on the sides.


Serve it hot :)

If you really don’t want to wait for 18 minutes then just take a cup, place the bread inside the pour the mixture on it. let it soak a bit and eat it as is. its as delicious as the oven baked version.


Those who have tried it said that its very similar to Slider station’s white magic sweet. :)
